Top Notch Kitchen Remodel, Via Andrea, Newbury Park

Our latest project is a complete remodel of a large kitchen and dining room in a Newbury Park home. We started by understanding the client’s pain points about the old kitchen and their dream for the new kitchen. The end result is a beautiful and functional kitchen space perfect for cooking and hanging out with the family! Read on, as we walk you through the details of this transformation. A kitchen remodel is a big project that requires a lot of planning and patience. It’s not just about adding new cabinets and changing the countertops. A kitchen remodel is an opportunity to think about what you want your kitchen to be and how it will fit into your life.

You should start by thinking about what you want from the space. Do you want more counter space for cooking? More storage for pots, pans, and dishes? Maybe you want to reconfigure the layout or open it to an adjoining room? You should also think about how much time and money you want to invest in the project.

For this project, the owners wanted their kitchen to look and feel just like they imagined an ‘ideal’ kitchen would command. Naturally, that included modern-style interiors as they were tired of their outdated brown cabinets and busy granite countertops. They also wanted to remodel their pantry and butler walkway so it would not be so boxy, sticking out into the room.

As soon as the client signed on with our kitchen remodel designer, Alana, she immediately went to work. Alana listened to our clients’ desires and thoroughly examined their space, giving her a clear understanding of their pain points. From there, she created a design plan for renovating their kitchen, one that fits in perfectly with their budget and expectations.

While keeping the main footprint of the kitchen, our designers worked hard to redesign the kitchen into a modern style to create a welcoming and spacious feel. We had to make sure all elements were carefully considered – from the layout and management of electrical outlets to the beautiful countertops and cabinets.

We relocated the dividing wall between the pantry and the butler’s pantry walkway to gain two feet of space, and we added a new door to access the hallway.

We also installed a built-in bench along the dining room wall to provide a space for sitting, relaxing, and taking in the opulence of the new kitchen.

We styled the kitchen with a vibrant modern design, incorporating the following features:

Perimeter Cabinetry

• Walnut with prominent horizontal wood grain
• Riverbed stain on a Tarin door and drawer style

• Two uppers around the range
• Maple with oyster painted finish
• Kadey door style

• Refrigerator panels
• Toe kick molding, starter molding, and crown molding
• Light rails in the toe kick

• Quartzite stone in a soft pattern and muted tones

Backsplash/Accent tile

• Soft beige with colorful accent tile over range

The client was thrilled with how their kitchen remodel turned out! When the client saw how we were able to update and modernize their kitchen, they couldn’t help but be impressed. The owners especially love the quality of their spacious, warm wood cabinets, and all of the other little finishes that make their new kitchen function as perfectly in real life as it does in their imagination. Their elegant countertops and contemporary design are a hit as well, with toe-kick lighting and handsome refrigerator panels. They love the way the high cabinets with glass doors showcase their pottery collection beautifully, bringing a feel of elegance and sophistication to the room. With this thoughtfully planned out project, our clients loved what came out because not only was everything functional but it looked great too!
