A customer came to our showroom in the spring of 2017 and met with Bob Sturgeon, the owner. This vibrant and engaging lady, whose name was Zari, just purchased a two story condominium in Westlake Village and that was in need of a complete renovation. The condo was over 30 years old and had been a rental a lot of that time, so it had not been taken care of properly like a homeowner would have done. Zari said she had met with other contractors but didn’t think they were the right fit. She and had never done a major remodel and it was important the contractor was experienced and trust worthy. She wanted them to listen to her needs and take good care of her.

Bob assured Zari that she was in good hands, telling her Westside had completed approximately a thousand successful remodeling projects and had tons of positive client testimonials to share with her. After checking out the condo and agreeing on a preliminary price range, Bob matched Zari up with the designer he thought perfect for her personality and style, the talented Kelly Azzarello.

During the design process, Kelly familiarized herself with Zari’s taste and life style. She asked Zari what was important to her as a homeowner and how she would use each room in the house. Zari wanted her home to look fresh and new and to be stylish but not overly decorative. She also wanted her home to make her feel peaceful and tranquil. Kelly decided on a transitional design style where traditional and contemporary elements would be combined. She helped Zari select quality materials with clean, straight lines in soft, muted colors.

The transformation was incredible and Zari was thrilled with her new condo. The project took approximately six months from design to completion and went very smoothly. There were a couple unexpected incidents as is usual with a major remodel, and Bob and our team quickly found solutions and finished the job on schedule.
