Bob Sturgeon | President
Bob Sturgeon founded Westside Remodeling Design & Build in 1985 in the hopes of creating a business and workplace where excellent customer service and continuous improvement were inherent qualities of the company culture. From the get-go, Bob established three core values for the business and its employees: Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence. Along with a tireless dedication to customer satisfaction, these three core values have consistently driven Westside Remodeling to success for over 30 years.
Bob is a member of the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association ) and CAPID (Conejo Association of Professional Interior Designers). His leadership has prompted Westside Remodeling, Inc.’s recognition in major industry publications such as Architectural Digest, L.A. Home and Remodeling, Professional Remodeler, and Remodeling Magazine. Westside Remodeling projects have also been featured in the Los Angeles Times.
Bob takes pride in making sure each client is delighted with their experience with Westside Remodeling Design & Build, and he’s very proud to have built a team that is able to achieve this each and every day. Bob and his wife Georgia have two children, Bradley and Jenna, and have lived in Thousand Oaks since 1990.
Alana A. Busse
Alana A. Busse | Designer + Remodeling Specialist
On every project, Alana brings her experience and background in architecture, interior design, construction, and drafting. For the past eleven years, she has been working in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry in particular. Alana has designed a wide variety of interesting projects, from condos and tract home remodels to multimillion-dollar ski chateaus and Santa Rosa Valley estates. Each client is very important to her as she helps make their dream home a reality.
Alana has developed many industry connections from sitting on the boards of local chapters at the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). She is currently the President of the local NKBA chapter. Numerous charity tours have featured Alana’s home designs, and she has been published in the Ventura County Star and Image Magazine multiple times. Alana also received the prestigious Ambassadors Club Award from the NKBA at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas. In February 2016, Alana completed new certifications from Hanley Wood University in Window and Door Standards and Material Type and Organizations as well as Resources and Standards Relevant to Natural Stone.
Alana looks forward to delivering excellent customer service and breathtaking designs to Westside Remodeling Design & Build clients.
Jose Morales | Design Assistant
A great addition to our design team, Jose has experience in AutoCAD, space planning, reading plans, and project management. A friendly, reliable, and ambitious young man, he works hard to transition our clients smoothly from design to construction. Jose’s hobbies outside of work include weight lifting and riding his motorcycle.

Christian Sulick has over 20 years experience in remodeling, custom homebuilding, and fine woodworking. With excellent communication skills, he is very successful at consistently bringing clients’ needs and dreams to reality.

Jon Barrett | Lead Carpenter
Referred to as a “Renaissance Man” and a true craftsman by his clients, Jon’s talent in music and art lends a creative approach to his work. What sets Jon apart is his attention to detail, good work ethic, problem solving, and of course pride, which is seen in every song written, each piece painted, and every remodel completed. With 20 years of experience in the trade, a can-do attitude, as well as the utmost in respect and consideration for his clients, Jon succeeds as a lead carpenter at Westside Remodeling Design & Build.
Andrew Bayliss | Lead Carpenter
Originally from New Zealand, Andy has worked in carpentry for over 20 years in countries around the globe including England, Australia, and New Zealand. Andy brings his passion for life, people, and his work to every remodeling and renovation project. His excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and quest for excellence have been the foundation of his success as a carpenter. When he’s not on the job, Andy enjoys surfing, kiteboarding, and playing guitar.
Esteban Reyes | Lead Carpenter
Our clients love Esteban! He is known by customers and team members as a very skilled, self-motivated carpenter who is always eager to work, he gets the job done right. Esteban is kind, honest and takes great pride in his work. After hours Esteban enjoys being with his wife, young daughter, and newborn son.
John Alejo | Carpenter
John has over 10 years of carpentry experience working in all aspects of residential construction. His specialty is woodworking, and he has a magic touch for cabinet installation, modifications, and finishing. “Swinging a hammer and hitting nails gives me great satisfaction,” John says of his passion for the building and remodeling process. He is also a talented singer and actor who performs regularly at local theaters!
Georgia Sturgeon | Office Manager
Meet our office manager, Georgia Sturgeon! Georgia’s 25 years of experience as an escrow officer contribute to her organizational skills and attention to detail. She loves meeting our customers and planning company events–like our popular educational seminars. After hours, Georgia can be found walking her dog Buddy around her neighborhood.
